The fiercest battleground for used dealers is the specialist chassis sector. Quality-built bodies often with a crane-are in demand. explains George Alexander of Glass's Guide.
"All sound multi-axle rigids attract strong money as there isn't enough supply to meet retail demand for the best stock,"Alexander reports. He points out. however, that it's a small sector in which even a couple of dozen additional heavy tippers coming on to market would affect values.
With major construction projects in the pipeline. demand for 6x4 and 8x4 tippers should remain provided that all such returns are sensibly managed.
