Carrier Transicold unveils Vector 1550

CARRIER TRANSICOLD unveded its latest tra[ler refrigeration unit at the IAA Show in Hannover last week: the Vector 1550, which enjoys significant reductions in running costs, Carrier claims.

Using Carrier's all-electric drive system, it combines a 1.5litre diesel engine driving a downsized hermetic compressor, running through an economiser bypass unit that reduces energy consumption when cooling needs are lower for the purpose of regulating temperature.

Another new product, designed for rigid vehicles, is the Supra City. It has been designed for urban use, particularly during nighttme deliveries. The unit's nose levels are less than 60 dB(A) and achieve Dutch PIEK noise regulation standards.
