available from Craven Tasker (Sheffield) Ltd. It has been designed for transferring containers, or portable cabins, to and from vehicles or trailers and can be supplied in four sizes with lifting capacities ranging from 2.5 to 20 tonnes.
It features four rack-and-pinion-type lifting legs with selflocking spur gearing. These are attached with three locking clamps to four separate posts secured at each corner of the body with lock nuts top and bottom.
The type pictured is the military version which can be operated manually from each corner and together with a shelter is said to be able to withstand winds of storm force 10. For civilian use, the two lifting legs at each end can be operated together by means of a connecting shaft, manually or electrically.
In transit, the four lifting legs are secured to the container.
