• Leyland Dafs heavy haulage users group is pressing for all Special Types vehicles to be exempt from the spraysuppression regulations.
Although most STGO trucks are not covered, operators of Category One and Two Special Types which also run under Construction and Use regulations below 38 tonnes are obliged to fit the equipment.
The users group, which is made up of Leyland Daf engineers and customers, is about to meet with Department of Transport officials.
