HAULIERS OPPOSED to the proposals to charge lorries the same as cars to enter Manchester under congestion charge plans will have the opportunity to voice their opinions.
The Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA) has revealed that it will hold a referendum on the congestion charge plans, as well as improvements to public transport.
AGMA leader Lord Peter Smith says: -People will have their say on whether or not they want to say yes to a transformed public transport system in Greater Manchester, including a congestion charge to ensure their region can continue to prosper. It is all or nothing." L.t z The referendum is likely to take place in December.
