WEDNESBURY, WEST Midlands-based T&P Services has been granted an O-licence to base three vehicles and the same number of trailers at the Corus Steel Works plant in All Saints Road, Wednesbury, with effect from 1 June.
The following undertakings have been given by the partnership: ● There will be a nil defect daily driver reporting system. Defect reports will show rectiication; ● Maintenance systems, maintenance documenta tion and vehicle inspections will be audited by a trade association every six months; ● Audit reports will be prepared and acted upon; ● A copy of the report will be forwarded to the trafic area ofice within 14 days of its receipt, together with the operator’s proposals for implementing its recommendations; ● After three clear audits the operator is at liberty to apply to be released from this undertaking; ● All tachographs will be independently analysed by a trade association and monthly reports will be prepared, acted upon and retained for at least two years; ● Copies of the reports are to be sent to trafic examiner Tracy Love at Featherstone Goods Vehicle Testing Station; ● Peter Ward will not put himself forward to be a transport manager in the future; ● Any new drivers are to receive bespoke training on drivers’ hours and regulations and records are to be kept of this.
The interim licence of the business will remain in force until 1 June.
