Made in the form of a stirrup. the nut splitter from T. Williams (Drop Forgings and Tools) has an anvil plate which faces a bolt-driven cutting edge.
The tool is operated by a standard 0.75in A / F spanner and its action splits the nut before the cutting edge reaches the bolt thread. Price: £4.
Made by: T. Williams (Drop Forgings & Tools) Ltd, Tilton Road. Small Heath, Birmingham.
