• Argentinian-built Cametal integral coaches, spotted by our correspondent in the US, have entered service with Mears Motor Tours of Florida. They are the first Argentinian coaches to be imported into America.
The CM40 coaches are powered by a 336kW (450hp) Detroit Diesel engine with an Allison transmission. Mears has taken four 8.2m two-axle versions, with between 26 and 35 seats, and eight 12.2m threeaxle coaches with 53 seats (50 if a bathroom is fitted).
Both types have aerodynamic styling with a roof spoiler and steeply-raked front.
