Morley, who started in the forklift industry and has been UK sales and marketing director of trailer-maker Schmitz Cargobull for the last two and a half years, says the role will give him a chance to use his wide retail experience. He adds: "1 will be a stakeholder in the firm, which appealed to me." Stoke-on-Trent-based Prohire was rated as one of Britain's fastest-growing 100 private firms in the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 league table two years running.
It specialises in offering fleet solutions to a range of customers on long-term contracts, including the supply of specialised equipment.
"Our target market is the small to medium-sized fleet users who won't then need a fleet manager," says Morley, who joined the firm on 1 July.
