d'INE of the greatest assets of the 1.Jflexible type of six-wheeler is that it enables bulk loads to be economically and efficiently transported, and its value in this direction is well exemplified by the illustration of the tractor-tanker which we publish on this page. The chassis is a standard 10-ton Scammell--the product of Scammell Lorries, Ltd., of Watford—in which is incorporated
the latest improvements devised by the company, including high-pressure greasegun lubrication to all the working joints, and the capacious tank which itis carrying accommodates 2,500 gallons.
The vehicle has recently been delivered to the Nugget Polish Co., Ltd., who, we understand, are employing it for the bulk conveyance of turpentine to their various factories. It is most
attractively finished in varnished aluminium paint, with the Wheels in red an the lining carried Out in black.
This, in itself, gives the vehicle much distinction, but its advertising value is further enhanced by the use of display boards along the sides and rear of the tank. These fit into suitable slides and can be reversed or changed when necessary.
