Elnipart's hot-air balloon dispensed with the usual formality of a staid old wicker basket when it took part in the recent balloon meet in Chateau D'Oex, Switzerland.
Instead, the spare parts specialist crossed the Alps at 3,000 feet on a motorcycle with sidecar slung below the balloon, The 1957 Royal Enfield was 'flown' by Flying Pictures team member Nick Sanders accompanied by balloon pilot Chris Dunkley as pillion and a lady saxophonist (unnamed) in the sidecar.
incidentally, Nick Sanders specialises in adventure motorcycling having cycled round the world twice once in 79 days, a world record. Crazy past-time, crazy guy.
