If the grapevine is to be Rlieved there are two strong andidates for the job within the iivision in the shape of Gerry Might. and David Abel. Gerry Nright is at present director of inance, while David Abel is nanaging director of Leyland Special Products. If past experence is anything to go by, the iierarchy will choose the 3ccountant although no doubt there will be plenty of applimnts for the £25,000 a year iob from others in the industry outside Leyland.
