I apply them, especially first thing in the morning. Also, they squeak when I straighten up after having turned a corner. I have had them checked, but the disc pads are perfect and the rear linings have plenty of life left in them. What is the explanation?
AFrom what you say the From is almost certainly emanating from the disc pads, as the pads are constantly rubbing against the disc. Pirst thing in the morning condensation between the pads and disc can lead to a slight sticking which may cause a squeak.
The squeaking brought on after cornering is probably due to the amount of necessary play in the front tapered roller wheel bearings, which puts differing loads on the pads when turning the bend and straightening up.
The noise can usually be eliminated by applying a proprietary brake grease to the backs of the pads.
