He retains the title of sales and marketing director, which he held with Harper Trucks (Manchester), but assumes responsibility for Harper Gordon Trucks, Bolton. He joined Harper Trucks soon after it was founded in the early 1980s, having worked all his life in the truck industry. • WEST YORICS CARS HORNER After 35 years in the bus industry, Brian Homer has retired as managing director of the West Yorkshire Road Car Company. He started his career with Midland Red in Birmingham, and moved to Yorkshire in 1976 as general manager of East Yorkshire Motor Services. He became managing director of West Yorkshire Road Car Company last year. His successor will be present financial director Giles Fearnley.
