• No revision of its artic driver courses will be necessary because of the requirements of the h.g.v. driving licence scheme, announces York Trailer Co. The RTITB-approved courses already cover all the driving and manoeuvring operations that an applicant for a class 1 licence is likely to be asked to perform.
About 600 drivers have already taken York's two-day courses, which cover brake systems. artic coupling procedures and safe trailer loading as well as direct driving subjects.
