• Three trucks, a bus and two diesel engines will be exhibited by British Leyland Truck and Bus Division at the Belgrade International Motor Show from April 19-27. The bus will be a Worldmaster, one of an order for 33 currently being bodied for the Skopje undertaking by Autokaroserija of Novi Sad.
The freight models on view will be a V8 Mandator 4x2, a Beaver and a Super Reiver 20. The Mandator is on a European sales tour and is rated for 40 tons gross: it has the 13.12litre 801 diesel engine and 10-speed semi automatic gearbox; it is fitted with a two-berth sleeper cab and will be coupled to a Crane Fruehauf skeletal trailer with TIR containers,
The Beaver, for use in Yugoslavia, is equipped to haul a drawbar trailer, has a Duramin two-berth sleeper-cab conversion of the Ergomatic cab, long-range fuel tanks and a Foster seven-day tachograph. The Super Reiver 20 has a Murfitt bulk body of a type being supplied to East Germany.
The two engines to be shown are a V8-801 and a horizontal 0.680.
