wide-single use with a target weight of 23kg—almost 2k9 lighter than current models. The wheels will be made at Alcoa's new £25m plant near Budapest; they should be available by the end of the year.
• Isuzu Truck (UK) has received its first orders for the new NOR 7.5-tonner, although the UK price has not yet been set. The NQR will be launched at the IRTE show in May, but major fleet customers had a chance to drive it at a customer clinic last month (CM 1 3-19 November 1997).
• Fina has developed a fully synthetic 0W40 engine oil for cars and light commercial vehicles; Fina First is said to achieve "appreciably lower fuel consumption", even compared with fully synthetic oils of higher SAE viscosity.
• The Cartwright Group has been given the Post Office's Gold Award this year. Cartwright is the only bodybuilder to receive the award in 1997, which recognises it as a "First Class Supplier" of bodywork and trailers.
