II Three new lveco SuperCargo 6x2 rigid drays, all fitted with Don-Burs latest buckleless curtainsider bodywork, are enabling Daniel Thwaites Brewery to carry increased payloads of12.5 tonnes.
These are the first trucks to use the smooth-sided BCS curtain system which is normally reserved for Palletmaster 2002 semis.
The 4.6m-wheelbase lveco ML 180E23/P8 chassis feature air suspension on the drive and trailing rear-steer Girelli axles.
Plated at 21 tonnes GVW, the Ivecos' low-profile 8.08m Palletrnaster bodies have steel sub-frames and superstruc
tures but use aluminium for the side raves and guard rails. Each body has a 1.0m deck height and weighs just 2.64 tonnes.
Iveco supplied the optional Scorpion alarm system, while Don-Bur added the heavy-duty front bulkhead, steel rear frame and reinforced side curtain linings.
