PALLET NETWORK UK Pallets has applauded its members for a year of hard work, which it expects to bolster volumes by 4%.
The pallet arm of UK Mail says April 2010 volumes are expected to be up 4% on April 2009, which was 6% higher than in April 2008.
The company also predicts that turnover for the year ending 31 March 2009, will be higher than the £30m recorded in the previous financial year.
Speaking exclusively to CM, the lirm's commercial director. Graeme Wilson, reveals: "At the moment, we are averaging about 5,500 pallets a night. Through hard work and effort, we are continuing to grow.
"Our 80 members have really shone through over the past 12 months, even during a recession."
Despite positive volume growth, Wilson adds the firm will put hub expansion plans on hold until the economy picks up further.
