A NEW workshop heater, the Ho-Lei .1-1 W.20 has been introduced by E. F. Allchin and Co. Ltd., 253 Bordcsley Green, Birmingham, 9. Cleanliness, simplicity in use and economical operation are claimed for the unit which has totally enclosed burners and fully sealed and automatic fuel-flow control regulator valves.
Two 10-in, vaporizer burners give a smoke-free operation on paraffin. An hourly heat output up to 80,000 Btu is possible and a control range from 20,000 Btu upwards with a fuel con
sumption as low as 1.5 pints per hour. Heat output is immediate after ignition. The flame is adjustable down to a pilot light which is sufficient to keep premises warm overnight without waste.
The overall size of the Ho-Lei W.20 is 4 ft. 2 in. high by 2 ft. wide by 1 ft. 8 in. deep and a fuel tank can also be supplied as an optional extra. The pipe socket diameter is 6 in.
Cost of the W.20 is £62 10s. ex-works, but delivery up to 100 miles from the maker's factory is free.
