Engine: 3.0-litre Vdiesel, 125hp/180Nm Transmissions: rear wheel drive, 5spd manual, 5spdaufornatit GVW: 3,500kg Wheelbases: 2A90-3,355mro Bodies: four overall lengths, three roof heights Load volume: rhassis-cab MODEL TESTED/PUBLISHED: SWB 3.5 8 July 2004 If payload and unrivalled customer support are what you crave in a 3.5-tonner, then look no further. Isuzu's NKR offers one of the best payloads to be found in the sector and the company has a formidable reputation for ensuring the customer is King.
If you're looking for room incab and class-leading driveability, however, we'd be inclined to point you in the direction of other forward control 3.5-tonners. In our experience the I suzu falls behind the current pack on both counts.
The new 3.0-litre common-rail engine has eliminated much of the noise in the cab evident in the previous model and at Furo-4 this engine gets a torque boost, while the addition of the NEES-2 auto box will be a welcome addition for drivers on city work.
If I suzu addressed the quality and design of the dab, particularly on the inside, then we would have no hesitation in recommencing the NKR as a first pick.
