And that's exactly what Avia has found out, having struggled to make any significant impression since the arrival of its 075 in 2002.
The situation was much the same when the model was branded Daewoo. However, to overlook the 075 entirely wouldn't be doing it justice.
Granted, it doesn't feel as complete as some of its rivals. and the interior doesn't completely convince. On the other hand, it does feature two qualities that are fundamental to satisfied customers: namely a proven drivelinethanks to its Cummins ISBe engine producing 150hpand a highly competitive list price.
It can also be specified in either sleeper or day cab configuration, while G \ANs range from 7.5-12.0t.
But to raise its game, it really needs some attention. Having made an impression when it debuted, the 075 now f inds itself eclipsed by newer and better-developed competition.
A good makeover could help the Avia to return to form.
