AT an extraordinary general meeting of the Public Service Transport Association, to be held on June 16, at Brettenham House, Lancaster Place, Strand, London, W.C.2, resolutions will be put for approval of the agreement, dated May 10, between the Omnibus Owners' Association, the Public Service Transport Assdbiation. and Messrs. L.. G. Oldfield and E. D. Croft, on behalf of a new body intended to be formed under the name of the Public Transport Association.
It is the intention to wind up the existing bodies, and after a payment of £2,750 to the retiring -secretary, Mr. L. G. Oldlield, surplus assets will be transferred to the new body.
It is intended to have five classes of
member:—(1) Corporate members, being either (a) company operators, (b) municipal operators, (c) contractors, i.e., Manufacturers 'or other traders M vehicles or other goods in connection with the road passenger transport industry; (2) extra-ordinary members, i.e., operators who, by their special constitution do not wish to apply for or are ineligible for corporate membership; (3) associate members— those concerned with or who are interested in the industry; (4) overseas members—those operating pas, senger-transport systems outside Great Britain and Northern Ireland: (5) hbnorary members—those invited by the Council to become such.
