WARRINGTON haulier Mike Spence claims that three thefts totalling almost £100,000 have left the company "at rock bottom': On 2 May, three thieves wearing balaclavas broke into its compound between midnight and 5am and stole an ERF truck and two trailers full of beer and toiletries that it was carrying for grocery wholesaler Rowan International.
In November 2008, a load worth £8.000 was stolen from Lymm Services, off the M6 in Cheshire. ; In the same month, a lorry-load of nappies worth 111,000 was taken. 5 Spence saysRowanIntemational has terminated its contract with the haulier, forcing the group to park up three empty trucks.
He adds: "We don't know if we can survive this.
A Cheshire Police spokeswoman says no arrests or charges have been made in relation to the 2 May incident and the investigation is ongoing.
