ROBUST constructipn and pleasing appearance are two of the features of a new stop-tail-lamp set made by Wingard (M.A.), Ltd., Chichester, Sussex. A rubber plinth is supplied with each lamp, so that it may be fitted to a sloping or vertical base. An alternative plinth provides for horizontal mounting.
Each lamp embodies a tail and brake light and a reflector, and as a,plastics lens is employed it should last the life-time of the unit.
The base casting is amply strong and has a chromium-plated bezel which enhances the general appearance.
Each lamp is supplied with a twin-filament bulb— either 12v. or 6v., as required—outlet wiring, terminal connections, wiring diagram, template and self-tapping screws.
The pair of lamps can be bought as a kit for 32s., single lamps being available at 16s. Using the template, a member of the staff of -The Commercial Motor was able to fit two lamps in 30 minutes.
