II Nine Cartwright curtainsiders will be the first trailers in the Weetabix fleet to run on disc brakes. The company expects the 430mm discs to cut costs.
BPW, which has been providing the fleet with drum-braked axles to date, says servicing and downtime on its EGO axles, which are rated at 10 tonnes, should be reduced by more than 50%.
Weetabtx will take delivery of its new trailers this month.
