• Tonypandy-based Ronald Latcham has obtained a transport manager following his third appearance before South Wales Deputy IC Lyndon Davies. The DTC decided not to take any action against Latcham's licence after hearing that a Roy Solfield had accepted the job.
Fewer vehicles
111 John Blake, trading as Newport International, has had his licence renewed for five years for one vehicle and two trailers from two vehicles and four trailers by South Wales Deputy IC Lyndon Davies.
Heavy penalty
• Eleven operators and nine drivers were ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £4,521 after admitting a series of overloading offences before Rochdale magistrates
Simpson warned
• The licence for four vehicles and eight trailers held by Christine Simpson of Bathgate has been renewed for one year only, with a warning about future maintenance standards.
Three's the limit
• Opposition from Walsall Borough Council led to the four-vehicle licence held by Dean & Sons of Willenhall being renewed by West Midland Deputy TC Roger Seymour with a condition of not more than three vehicles to be in possession.
