A NEW subsidiary is being set up' in I—k the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland by •Associated commercial Vehicles, Ltd., and will be known as A.C.V. Central Africa (Pvt.), Ltd. This move is aimed at increasing export trade. The new company is to be based at Umtali; where chassis shipped from this country will be assembled for delivery.
Directors are Mr. A. S. C. ChatteY, Mr. R. E. W. Holmes, Mr. J. U. Cooke, Mr. W. A. Billington and Mr. R. Woodward. Mr. Holmes was sales manager, south-western region, A.C.V. Sales, Ltd.. and is to be director and general manager. Mr. Woodward was executive assistant, Associated Commercial Vehicles, Ltd., and will be secretary. Mr. Bitlington, who was superintendent of St. Helens service depot, A.C.V. Sales, Ltd., is to be manager, technical services.
