Rio UILT on a 581-acre site, the new LP factory at Garscadden, near Glasgow, of the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co. (Great Britain), Ltd., which was officially opened last week, is claimed to be the most modern in the world. By the end of the year it should be making 1,000 tyres a day, it is estimated. The plant cost 5.2.75m.
