IT is understood that an amicable relationship is now being re-established between the clearing house group and the long-distance hauliers' committee of the Road Haulage Association. The group now has 22 members and two more clearing houses have applied for admission.
The next meeting of the Association's finance committee will decide whether to amend the rate of subscription for carrier clearing houses, which have to pay according to their fleet strengths, as well as on the basis of their clearinghouse activities.
