HE difficulties of a Wibsey (Bradford) haulier with three Contract A ieles working on London trunking for Bradford Dyers Association Ltd., and ) using other A-licensed vehicles on ctically the same work were referred by the Yorkshire deputy Licensing .hority,Mr. J. H. E. Randolph, at ds on Tuesday.

4r. Kefiny said difficulties had arisen :in the vehicles had arrived in London with loads from Bradford and the customers there wanted the driver to pick up other loads, which he was not allowed to do on the Contract A licence.
It was suggested by Mr. Bosonworth that the real reason for the application was that Hillam wanted return loads from London. He said that only three London firms had provided the company with more than £50-worth of business last year. There was not a tittle of evidence to support the application, said Mr. Bosonworth, and in his view Mr. Kenny had wrapped up a very tiny application in a very large parcel. as the company was dealing with £800-worth of business out of a total turnover of £31,000.
Mi. Randolph said he felt there was much in what Mr. Bosonworth had submitted on the low figures produced, but he had to look at evidence from the point of view of the public need. He did not think that in granting the application there would be any danger of abstraction.
