Econic to operate as a multi-function response unit. It will handle water rescues, can be used as an incident command centre for major incidents, and is equipped to work as a community service vehicle. The cab, Allison five-speed automatic gearbox and 279hp engine are all pure Econic, but the chassis and running gear are taken from an 18-tonne Atego. Saxon built the body. It has taken South Yorkshire two-anda-half years to see the
