Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WITH an overall length of 40 ft. and a minimum operating length of 25 ft., adjustable in increments of 2 ft. 6 in., the semi-trailer seen below is to carry long timber. It is fitted with the Dyson D.N.R. suspension, with progressive springing, this being ideally suited to pole trailer operation, which entails a fair amount of empty running and.a very big variation of weights carried. This 15-ton-capacity unit was recently exhibited at the Royal Lancashire agricultural show at Blackpool and was the first of the D.N.R.-equipped pole semitrailers.

The front bolster is positioned over the kingpin and the rear sliding bogie is fitted with two bolsters, one being mounted over each axle; this arrangement provides a very stable load carrier. The bolsters, 8 ft. wide, are provided with a number of sockets for the 2-ft.

6-in.-high stanchions, thus being able to cope with loads of varying widths. The vehicle is to be operated by David Roberts Sons and Co. Ltd., Bootle, Lancs.
