The six-week strike at Plaxtons (Scarborough) Ltd, was settled last week and BOO workers—members of the National Union of Vehicle Builders and the Amalgamated Society of Machinists—returned to work. Production was brought almost to a standstill. The dispute was over a new
plant agreement—negotiations recommenced following the return to work.
