Wincanton Logistics Is promising its staff better times ahead when it "demerges" from its parent company, Uniq. at the end of May.
Wincanton chief executive Chas Lawrence claims that the demerger will be good for the company and its employees: It will give us greater freedom and flexibility for a start," he says. "We will no longer have to report to a food producing company and convince them to Invest in supply chain management.
"We think it will give our employees more motivation as our success will now depend on our own efforts," he adds.
The company has scheduled a meeting to approve the
