• The seller has to be the owner of the vehicle, which must be of "satisfactory quality".
• The truck has to be fit for its stated purpose and must be sold as descrit by the salesperson.
• A buyer can lose his rights to reject a truck as unsatisfactory if he has ha -reasonable time" to examine it, or modifies it in some way.
• If buying on HP, the Consumer Credit Act 1974 makes the credit suppliel and seller equally liable for the quality of the truck in some cases.
• A buyer can only sue a private second-hand seller if he "misdescribes" t truck in question. If the seller is truthful, and does not mislead you — then yc have no redress if the vehicle breaks down.
