Suffolk Operation Stack soLution due this month
The Road Haulage Association (RI IA) says a solution for the current arrangements for Operation Stack in Suffolk when Felixstowe port closes is likely to be confirmed this month.
In April. county councillor and chairman of the Operation Stack steering group, Guy McGregor. admitted to CM that a long-term solution had been ditched due to lack of money (CM 8 April).
RI IA senior area manager and steering group member Pete Butler said continuing to use the old A45 at Leyington was increasingly seen as the only viable solution. But he now says: "There is a cheaper solution. I am not at liberty to say as
