Halifax fire damages four trucks
WEST YORKSHIRE Police are appealing for witnesses after a suspected arson attack on a haulage company wiped out almost a third of its fleet.
Firefighters and police attended the blaze on 24 January at Brian F Curran Haulage in Halifax.
Police say four of the company's 14 trucks were damaged following the fire at around 11.10pm.
Curran says the police are investigating a number of leads, one being a link to a recent theft of diesel at his premises in Greetland.
He declines to comment further.
Commercial Motor has recently raised issues over how truck fires at hauliers are reported and who should be investigating them (CM 22 January 'In the line of fire').
