Automatic regulation of temperature and fans is available, as is an automatic, temporary release of recirculation mode at 30-minute intervals. As the cherry on the cake, it offers the Short Stop Ventilation function: if the switch is turned briefly to the P ventilation position, the sunroof opens a little (if it is electric), and the fan lets rip at 30% of full power for a maximum of two hours.
The well positioned, logically laid out buttons and switches of the Volvo are not quite so luxuriously modelled but are certainly of sufficient stature. From rapid cooling to the automatic function for fans and temperature, nothing is lacking. The ensemble is almost as understated as the Des but is packed with sophistication.
