IN THE RECENT Tip-Ex 08 supplement to your publication (CM 15 May), you printed I a reference to our company providing our clients with free inclinometers for their vehicles. This was an error in our original press release and we would be grateful if you could clarify to your readers that while we do not provide free inclinometers for our clients, we do work with our partner insurers to provide reductions in insurance premiums for those clients that have had tipping claims in the past and are willing to fit inclinometers to their vehicles.
The reduction in premium may or may not cover the initial outlay of purchasing and fitting the device, as each case is reviewed by an underwriter on its own merits.
From an insurance perspective we would encourage any tipper operator to fit inclinometers to its vehicles as tipping claims, although relatively infrequent, are generally very costly.
Once again we would like to apologise for the error in our original press release and hope that the above clears up any confusion.
