• A Woolworths driver was trapped for five-and-a-half hours in his cab after his truck crashed through a barrier and toppled down a hillside in mid-Wales following a rear tyre blowout. Robert Briggs from Todmorden, near Halifax, was eventually airlifted to hospital suffering from serious leg injuries and shock. He had been on his way to make a delivery to Woolworths' Aberystwyth store.
