• A letter has been sent by Essex owner-driver Steven Bryant (pictured) to the UN Commission on Human Rights, on the fourth anniversary of his imprisonment in a Moroccan jail for carrying cannabis.
The letter Bryant sent to Mary Robinson, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, describes his experience and is accompanied by a letter from Stephen Jakobi of campaign group Fair Trials Abroad outlining its concerns with Morocco's legal system.
Bryant is serving a 12-year sentence in Morocco after cannabis resin was found in a load of frozen squid he was hauling back to the UK.
