PE Gatwick operates eight tractor units and 12 trailers and six i-gids ranging from 7.5 to 26 tonnes. The company runs a mixed fleet, but managing director Peter Fagence admits he likes to buy Volvo and tends to buy nearly new second-hand trucks.
"However, we are more loyal to our dealer Hanbury Riverside in West Thurrock than to any manufacturer brand," he says.
Fagence adds: "We know when buying a truck from them that it's going to be in excellent condition and if anything does go wrong they will sort it out for us straight away."
While the majority of the fleet is owned by PF Gatwick, it currently has four vehicles on hire from SunRent.
