• A contract worth about £400,000 h been awarded by the British Transpo Docks Board to John Mowlem and Co Lt for the construction of a roll-on /roll-o terminal at Millbay Docks, Plymouth. T contract will be carried out by E. Thom and Co Ltd, Mowlem's west countr subsidiary.
The terminal is being provided by Docks Board for use by a roll-on /roll-o ferry service between Millbay Docks an the Breton port of Roscoff due t commence in January 1973. The service cater principally for the importation vegetables and other produce from Brittan during the fresh produce season occurrin in the first six months of the year, but it • expected that during the holiday seaso July to September, private car, caravan, an passenger traffic will be attracted.
