Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NORBERT DENTRESSANGLE (ND) has won a deal to distribute products for lawnmower manufacturer Hayter.

Hayter, which has its manufac turing facility at Spellbrook near Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire, hopes the partnership will reduce its overall distribution costs and deliver an improved service thanks to ND’s national pallet network.

Neil Oxborrow, Hayter materials manager, says: “ND has provided us with a cost-effective transport solution that ensures we can offer a reliable, next-day service to all of our stockists across the UK.” Last month Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK revealed it would be switching to DHL from ND for its logistics needs, with effect from this autumn.

In March, ND was given the green light for its £196m acquisition of logistics operator TDG, and has subsequently bid farewell to TDG boss Mike Branigan.
