In March this year, Inverness company James Paterson Haulage was fined £13,000 after one of its drivers, Andrew Brown, was killed when he was hit by steel gates falling from his truck. In an HSE prosecution, Inverness Sheriff Court was told how in August 2008, two of the gates, weighing 153kg, struck Brown, who suffered a fatal neck injury.
