On Friday, the 13th instant, we shall see the opening of the seventh annual exhibition of private cars under the auspices of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. Our supporters are well aware that we do not, in these columns, interest ourselves in the field of pleasure or recreational motoring, but it is due to the promoters of the show in question to point out that many business interests may be admirably served by the use of cars which are primarily designed for touring and professional purposes. Coin mercial travellers, principals of large houses, and energetic leaders of industry have found their working hours to N practically doubled in effectiveness by the use of slid vehicles. If, therefore, the advantages and attractions cr the lighter types of motorcars have not appealed to any o those who read "Tim COMMERCIAL MOTOR " each week, wr feel that We cannot do better than recommend them k peruse the next few issues of our sister journal " Tht Motor "; it will adequately cover the whole range which
