Tractor trials • Parcels carrier Home Express will take delivery of 57 28-tonne GCW tractive units worth Urn next spring. Trials with vehicles from ERF, Leyland Daf, Iveco Ford, MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Renault, Scania, Seddon Atkinson and Volvo will end early next year when three manufacturers will be shortlisted to tender for the one-make contract.
German branch • Air brake manufacturer Knorr-Bremse of Germany has opened a UK branch, in Bristol. Its products were previously handled by Garphyttan of Newton Aycliffe, Durham, which will handle trailer OE until December 1993.
