• Though granting Marshall UK & European Haulage the authority to operate two vehicles and two trailers from Eaglesfield, Dumfriesshire, Scottish D'I'C Richard McFarlane has made it conditional on the surrender of a licence held in the West Midlands and a ban on the parking of trailers at the site.
Dangerous vehicles
• Northallerton-based1-1W Weighell Transport & Sons had its licence revoked when it failed to attend a Leeds disciplinary inquiry.
Repute lost
• Graham and Susan Bates' licence has been revoked on grounds of repute because they operated without a qualified transport manager for more than a year. Eastern IC Geoffrey Sims also revoked the licence of Rannock Transport Services of Corby because Bates, as its nominated transport manager, was no longer of good repute.
Environment first
• Environmental objections from local residents led to the refusal of a bid by Charing based Skip-It to increase its licence from two to five vehicles at a Tunbridge Wells public inquiry.

• A failure to attend an Inverness disciplinary inquiry has led to the loss of the licence held by William Urquhart, trading as Wester Coal.
