GIST HAS WON A contract to set up and operate a national distribution centre for high-street café chain Eat.
The transport firm will make chilled deliveries at night to Eat's national network of 100 shops from its facility in Hemel Hempstead, Herts.
Eat appointed logistics consultancy Davies & Robson to conduct the distribution tender process. Davies & Robson has prepared a contingency plan that allows the operation to continue uninterrupted in the event of the existing service being unexpectedly withdrawn.
